ABR Construction, Inc., formerly AB Roofing Co.,
Inc., was created in January of 1980 by Christian and Michael
Ach. The two brothers gained roofing experience through long hot
summers in college and saw the opportunity to establish themselves
in the Lexington community through starting their own business.
ABR hit the ground running due to Christian and Michael’s
intuition, hard work, and dedication. By April of 1980, ABR was
incorporated and occupied its very first facility at 1807½
North Limestone. Growth and expansion over the years eventually
landed the company at its current location on West Fourth Street
in Lexington.
From ABR’s meager beginnings to the success
that we experience today we have centered our operation in the
beautiful rolling hills of the Bluegrass. We have become a leader
in this community and throughout the entire state by setting the
pace with our quality, workmanship, and dependability. Along with
our extensive presence in Kentucky we have also successfully completed
projects in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri,
Indiana, West Virginia, and Mississippi.
As our operations have grown so has our scope of work. We specialize
in the removal, renovation, and installation of single-ply, modified
bitumen, built-up, and standing seam roof systems, and architectural
sheet metal fabrications. In 1997 ABR Construction entered the
new frontier of excavation led by company president, Christian
Ach. ABR’s commitment to quality has enabled us to quickly
become well respected in both excavation and site development.
ABR takes pride in working on both large and small scale projects
within Kentucky and the surrounding region. On average, our workforce
has over 15 years of experience with our company. They are committed
to the ABR vision of safety, quality and service for each of our
customers.
We have been
privileged to work with some of the finest contractors and companies
in the eastern United States. ABR has completed projects upwards
of $5 million and over 1.8 million square feet. Our projects include
schools, courthouses, shopping malls, strip centers, detention
centers, sports arenas, baseball parks, apartment complexes, restaurants,
office buildings, distribution centers, banks, factories, hospitals,
and subdivisions. We pride ourselves in every project that we
do.
